The shores of Lake Manteno saw plenty of Shark sightings on Tuesday as 21 athletes from New Trier Aquatics competed in the 2026 Open Water State Championships. Trading the black line of the pool for the open waters, our swimmers showcased their endurance, strategy, and grit, culminating in a fantastic
3rd place overall team finish!
This impressive team result was fueled by numerous standout performances. We saw fantastic swims across all age groups, with many of our Sharks earning medals and scoring valuable team points to bring home the hardware.

What's Next for NTA?
After a busy and successful summer season, our swimmers and coaches will be taking a well-deserved short break. We will be back in action in late August, ready to tackle the upcoming short course season!
