June 25, 2026

NTA Brings Home the Aloha Spirit Award, Silver Overall, and Big Best Times!

As part of our Senior Training Camp to Hawaii, 31 Sharks competed in the Hawaii Senior State Championships and the Western Zone Open Water Championships in Maui last weekend, before hopping over to Oahu for some more swimming adventures!

Our girls placed second in the meet, our boys placed third, and we got second place combined! We also won the Visiting Team Aloha Spirit Award, which was given to the visiting team who exhibited the most love, gratitude, kindness, and sportsmanship during the four day meet.

High Point Leaders & Winter Junior Cuts

Our Sharks came to race, and the leaderboard proved it:

  • Congratulations to Sylvia Deliduka for placing 2nd in the individual High Point, and to Charles Sears for placing 4th!
  • Congratulations to Sylvia Deliduka for hitting her Winter Junior Cut in the 50 Free, and to Nicholas Drcha for achieving his very first Winter Junior Cut in the 50 Free!

Conquering the Open Water

Six of our Sharks took on the grueling 5k at the Western Zone Open Water Championships. It's an incredible test of endurance, and our swimmers rose to the occasion:

  • Men's 5k: Cormac McEwen led the NTA boys , alongside gritty finishes from Dylan Sears, Charles Sears, and Michael Saviski.
  • Women's 5k: Sylvia Deliduka set a fantastic pace for the girls , followed by a great swim from Beatrice Schaeffer.

Our Sharks are back in action this weekend at the North Shore Open, hosted by PAC at Stevenson High School, and the Summer Splash, hosted by RISE at Libertyville High School.
