Fast Racing, Big SWIMS, and a Triple Crown Weekend

New Trier Aquatics brought the speed to the Triple Crown meet hosted by Swift Aquatics at Niles North High School this past weekend. Our swimmers demonstrated incredible depth and versatility, racking up personal bests and challenging themselves in new events.

Exceptional Performances

NTA swimmers were touching the wall first and dropping massive time all weekend. Here are just a few of the standout performances:

  • Thomas Kennedy (14): Dropped nearly two seconds in the 100 Breaststroke (1:05.90), posting a highly competitive time for his age.
  • Daniel Sheynis (14): Delivered a fantastic 400 IM (4:35.77), dropping over 12 seconds to clock a very impressive time.
  • Vincent Manson (10): Put up a blazing 2:27.63 in the 200 Freestyle, showing remarkable speed for a 10-year-old.
  • Cecily Clifton (12): Continues to fly, hitting a 29.06 in the 50 Butterfly, a time that ranks her highly among her peers.
  • Jordana Segel (14): Posted a strong 4:50.17 in the 400 IM, demonstrating elite versatility and endurance.
  • Eric Miclea (14): Cracked a fast 50.54 in the 100 Freestyle, a time that signals serious sprinting power.
  • Scarlett Wessel (8): Swam a quick 17.91 in the 25 Butterfly, showing she is well ahead of the curve.
  • Lincoln Tang (12): Went a swift 34.08 in the 50 Breaststroke, backing it up with strong swims across the board.
  • Thomas Johnson (12): Impressed with a 32.95 in the 50 Breaststroke, establishing himself as a breaststroker to watch.
  • Joseph Kennedy (12): Showed great aerobic capacity with a 5:27.50 in the 500 Freestyle.
  • Alyssa Liberman (10): Dropped time to hit 34.46 in the 50 Butterfly, a time drop that shows excellent progression.
  • Luka Radisic (13): Swam a strong 1:04.87 in the 100 Butterfly.
