NTA Attains Recertification as Safe Sport Recognized Club through 2027
A Safe and Supportive Environment For All

New Trier Aquatics is proud to announce that we have successfully achieved re-certification as a USA Swimming Safe Sport Recognized club. This important designation is valid through October 2027 and affirms our deep commitment to providing a safe, healthy, and positive environment for all our members.
The Safe Sport Club Recognition Program allows a USA Swimming member club to demonstrate its commitment to creating an abuse-free, safe, healthy, and positive environment for all its members. Achieving this status requires the club's diligent development and implementation of key policies, including the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAPP) and anti-bullying plans, as well as adhering to Safe Sport best practices.
This recognition is a team effort, requiring dedicated training and education for our minor athletes, parents, and coaches. It demonstrates that we have established and enforce crucial reporting mechanisms and screening procedures to protect our swimmers.
This accomplishment shows our team-wide dedication to making swimming a healthy and positive environment, free from abuse, for all our athletes. Thank you so much to our Safe Sport Reps, Brian Cunningham and Mike Kennedy, and all of our coaches, athletes, and parents who helped make this happen!
We encourage all members to visit our NTA Safe Sport page at https://www.newtrieraquatics.org/safe-sport. There, you can review our full policies and find contact information for our club's Safe Sport Coordinator and the resources to report a concern.
Thank you to everyone in our community for their continued commitment to this important mission.
Go Sharks!
